Volunteer With Us

Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community while learning new skills and meeting new people. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with Transition Linlithgow wherever your interests lie.

Transition Linlithgow is by its very nature a local organisation which is enhanced by the people who participate in it. We benefit a great deal from those who volunteer their time and skills with us and in return we hope that we give some benefit back, whether that's re-connecting with others, learning new skills or developing experiences for your CV.

Events

Engaging with the community is the most satisfying aspect of working for Transition Linlithgow.

Why not come along to one of our events to help represent us and promote the work we do?

Our events page includes dates and times for all upcoming opportunities.

Tool Library

Our Tool Library relies on the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. We need people to help refurbish and maintain our ever growing inventory of tools and help run our weekly tool collection session, every Tuesday between 4 and 7 pm.

We also need people to help supervise our open workshop sessions at Donaldson's School. The more volunteers we have, the greater access we can offer!

Tree Planting

Through our partnerships with Beecraigs Country Park and Burgh Beautiful we have lots of tree planting opportunities throughout the year.
Tree planting is a great way to re-wild our green spaces and absorb carbon emissions.

Gardening

Campaigning

We run a number of campaigns to raise awareness about specific issues within the town and about climate change in general. Our Plastic Free Linlithgow group has done great work to combat single use plastic in the town.
